There has been a claim on social media that the Brazilian judoka Beatriz Souza made an ‘L’ gesture in allusion to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) after winning the gold medal in the final of the +78 kg category in judo at the Paris Olympics. The publication suggests that an image produced by the photographer Mathilde Missioneiro of Folhapress was allegedly published in the official website of Folha de São Paulo and later replaced due to its political tone.
