It is false that video proves 'setup' in Canadian wildfires

There is a video being forwarded on Telegram that shows a helicopter flying over a forest in Canada and allegedly throwing flames on it. The caption implies that this proves that the fires in that country are a setup and are being caused to promote a climate change agenda. It is fake.

The video shows the use of a technique called "controlled burning", capable of preventing forest fires from spreading. The message was shared on Telegram channels monitored by Fundação Getúlio Vargas School of Communication, Media, and Information (FGV-ECMI). In one of them, more than five thousand people viewed the content. The same content was also found in posts on Twitter and TikTok. Read more on Lupa’s website.
