The event, organized by FGV Law Rio on May 23, brought together representatives from digital platforms and political authorities to discuss the intersection of gender, race, and political violence, especially in the digital environment. The debate featured Federal Regional Prosecutor Silvana Batini and State Deputy Dani Balbi, moderated by Professor Maria Carolina Medeiros from FGV Comumunication Rio and Yasmin Curzi, professor and coordinator of the Diversity and Inclusion Program at FGV Law Rio.

The first session, “Gender and Race Political Violence: Legislation and Challenges,” addressed the effective implementation of Law 14.192/2021, which deals with political violence against women, and its challenges for 2024. The second session, “Platform Policies: Security and Trust,” discussed the responsibility of platforms in combating gender violence on the internet.
