The Media and Democracy project, an initiative by FGV Comunicação, supported by the European Union and in partnership with Lupa, the German center Democracy Reporting International (DRI), and FGV Direito Rio, concludes its two-year cycle with a book summarizing the project's main achievements.

A total of 110 studies, seven events, 105 fact-checking reports, and 850 media mentions were produced, among other activities, all aimed at fostering an increasingly comprehensive, effective, and irreversible digital democracy. These efforts are highlighted in the publication *Media and Democracy: Conflict Prevention and Democratic Integrity in the Digital Environment*. The initiative, which began in January 2023 and concluded in December 2024, was guided by the goal of strengthening Brazilian democracy through research focused on the digital sphere. To maximize its impact, the project operated through three main areas: studies on the digital environment, verification of potentially misleading content, and discussions led by the *Media and Democracy* Council, which brought together researchers and representatives from civil society, public authorities, and digital platforms.

The book also highlights the project's societal impact by disseminating information and reinforcing public debate on key issues related to democracy and human rights. Additionally, it underscores the significance of events held in partnership with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), both in 2023 in Rio de Janeiro and in 2024 in Brasília. These events gained national and international prominence, featuring the presence of Justices Alexandre de Moraes and Cármen Lúcia, the current TSE president, as well as ambassadors Marian Schuegraf from the European Union and Bettina Cadenbach from Germany.
